Passion International American University — Syria Branch announces registration opening for the new semester admission competition until January 10, 2026
Damascus — Passion International American University (Syria Branch) announced that registration for the new semester admission competition is now open and will continue until January 10, 2026. The university emphasized its focus on “achieving the highest standards of academic quality” and building “real partnerships” as part of its plan to expand into modern specializations.
The university presidency said, according to the announcement, that during a meeting with the Ministry of Higher Education it affirmed it would add “distinguished modern specializations” that could contribute to community development, noting it is studying the launch of majors described as “the first of their kind.”
Scholarships and special offers
On the occasion of the “National Day for the Liberation of Syria,” the university announced:
- A full scholarship (100%) for outstanding students with an average of 95% or higher.
- A partial scholarship (50%) for the first semester for all Syrian students, “for this admission competition only.”
Degrees and programs
The university said registration is available for: Bachelor’s, Master’s (qualifying and specialization / postgraduate studies), and PhD (qualifying and specialization / postgraduate studies), in addition to an honorary doctorate “for those with distinguished achievements,” as well as a preparatory diploma for those who “did not have luck in secondary school” to start a path toward university education.
The announcement added that the university includes colleges such as:
- Political Science and Diplomacy
- Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence
- Administration and International Business
- Media and Communication Technologies
- Educational and Psychological Sciences
- Islamic and Development Studies
- Humanities and Social Sciences
Admission and entrance exam
The university indicated that the accreditation criterion is competence through passing the entrance exam, explaining that it “does not consider the grade average or the certificate date,” which provides a “fair opportunity for everyone,” provided the intended degree level for enrollment matches eligibility requirements.
Master’s scholarship to Russia
The announcement also referred to a “new bridge to Russia” in cooperation with Southern Federal University (Russia), including a 100% free Master’s scholarship with benefits such as: fully funded study in Russia, free university housing, and a monthly stipend—with admission “simply by passing the entrance exam” provided by the university through its centers.

The university invited interested applicants to register via its website: piu-syr.education, or visit its campus in Damascus — Mezzeh, inside Youth City. An additional information link was also provided: scolar.piu-syr.education.
